A friend asked me if there is any connection between my Weblog as well as the Avnet Tech Games… perfectly, no connection at all! But I think I could commit a post to explain what are these “Tech Games” because the topic is really interesting.
The Avnet Tech Games is an yearly multidisciplinary development competition available to all universities, institutes and colleges in Arizona. The event provides pupils the chance to apply what they are understanding in school to real-world situations. Teams of pupils compete to win prizes and scholarships.
The games are surprisingly different, I can’t explain all them, but I’ll speak about the ones I like many.
AMD Build and Tune the Fastest Computer – Teams compete in 2 phases: First stage is a timed event on building a computer the quickest. In the next stage, groups compete to tune the computer to do the quickest. Scores are combined to determine completing purchase.
This will bring significant results for every computer consumer.
Robot Race Obstacle Course – With the Standard LEGO Mindstorm® NXT Robot kit, each team might have five hours to build and system a robot to maneuver around an obstacle course and to do a set of predefined jobs. The robot that is ideal capable to complete the event with all the quickest time wins.
It is my son’s bday in the near future and I feel that the write-up has made my thoughts up about just what exactly I am going to buy him.
Thanks for share. These informations are really interested. Good job!
