It has a motorized sliding door which keeps the iPod dock and LCD out of view, and when it opens up, you just have to admire the mechanism.

It’s easy to make space for this device and it’s also easy to keep it in place, just as long as the front part remains open so whenever you have to dock or undock your iPod or iPhone and load or unload your CD, you don’t have to move the device over and over again.

Design

On the outside, it looks plain and simple, but on the inside, it’s very different. The Lancer has all the functionality you need in a laptop bag and it has an excellent design. But I do have one flaw to mention: it’s quite heavy. For a bag without load, 3.6 pounds is already burden enough on the back. And with all the stuff inside it, who knows how heavy your bag will be? The design made up for it, though, because it has a feature for weight distribution. The dimensions of the bag are 19.50″ x 3.25″ Width x 14.50″, a little thinner than other models of the same size, but the compartments can be expanded so the depth gets bigger if the bag is full. What’s better about this model than other SwissGear bags is that it can carry up to 16” laptops, whereas most other models can only carry 15” ones.

The bag exterior is made of polyester and vinyl, two durable materials to ensure the long life of the product. If you use it properly, it will definitely last for many years. Its features are very good for daily use, like the weight distributing feature that I mentioned previously. The shock absorber shoulder straps distribute the weight evenly and decrease the strain on your shoulders so it doesn’t feel too heavy when you carry it. Along with that is the airflow back system which provides a breathable back padding, keeping you cool even if you’ve been carrying the back for a long while. The bag also makes use of the trademark SWISSGUARD computer pocket hich provides maximum protection and comfort for your beloved device.

The Lancer has four compartments: a front pocket, an organizer, a middle compartment, and the laptop compartment. The front pocket is a small space where you might want to keep tiny things close at hand, like USB devices or coins. The second compartment is an organizer with pockets especially for a cellphone, ball pens, and other small devices and office supplies. The third compartment is where you keep textbooks and other papers and documents, since it is the most spacious of all. The last compartment is where you keep your laptop. The bag is a nice red hue, with a black body and highlights of gray. The color is great for keeping stains out of sight and hiding any signs of damage and weathering. It also makes the bag very fit for anybody’s use. People of all ages, genders, and professions can use. Whether you’re a professional who uses his laptop for work everyday or a college student who needs his laptop for school, you can benefit from the great features of the Lancer.

Other Features

The bag has a storage area for music players like iPods and MP3 players and there’s also an earphone outlet so you can listen to your favorite tunes while wearing the bag. The bag has two strap handles, and one can functions as a trolley strap so you can easily mount the bag on a rolling suitcase for easier travel. It also has a case base stabilizer platform which keeps the entire bag upright no matter how bulky it is inside. This keeps the laptop safely tucked in your bag, and you don’t have to worry about it getting damaged or accidentally stumbling over.
