An all-in-one is a perfect addition to your gadget collection at home, and for a photo enthusiast like me, a photo printer and all-in-one is a fantastic idea. When I got the HP Photosmart Premium C310a Wireless E-All-In-One, I thought I made a mistake. But now that doesn’t seem to be the case. I want to share this review so you can find out why or why not the C310a is a good buy.
Design
As far as design goes, the C310a is absolutely gorgeous. It has a simple and sleek appearance with a very cool touch screen navigation display. It’s a little heavy at 16.9 pounds but not too big with the dimensions of 17.91” x 17.7” x 7.8”. You can easily set it up on the computer table or the shelf. The great thing about this printer is that it’s wireless and you can set it on different locations around the house while accessing it through all your household computers. All you need is a wireless network and all your PCs can print on this device.
The 4.3” CGD display with the TouchSmart control panel trademark of HP is very easy to use and makes printing on this device a breeze. You can print directly from storage media and you don’t even have to turn on your computer. You can view, edit, and select the photos that you want to print by using the intuitive and easy-to-use touch screen display.
Printing and Other Functions
The quality of this printer is absolutely excellent. It can print up to 33 pages per minute for black ink documents and 32 pages per minute for colored print outs. The printer also allows you to save more paper by automatically printing on both sides of the paper. As a Photosmart, its ink is very clear and vivid. The photos it prints out are very professional in appearance – I know because I have been using it for quite a while now. You can print borderless up to letter size (8.5” x 11”) to create beautiful portraits of the special memories you had with your loved ones.
The scanner has a bit depth of 48-bit, and it can scan to resolutions of 1,200 dpi for optical scanned images, while up to 19,200 dpi for enhanced images. The scanner is a flatbed which can scan up to letter size only. Scanning a bigger document will make the machine cut the excess area off. The copier has a similar speed of reproducing documents as with the printer, and you can reproduce up to 99 copies at one time. You can also reduce and enlarge the documents or photos you copy from 25% to 400%.
Other Features
The wireless printer allows several users to share the printer using a common network. The printer also has memory card readers to allow printing without a PC. And because this device is Energy Star qualified, you are actually helping Mother Nature when you use this printer in place of another. This model really has quite a lot to offer.
Conclusion
For me, the HP Photosmart Premium C310a Wireless E-All-In-One (CN503A#B1H) is one of the best photo printers that I have ever had. Using it is so easy, printing is high quality, and the other features add to the complete functionality of the device. For its price, it’s also a very good bargain. So if you want to get a photo printer that’s excellent and very useful, this is the model that I would recommend you to buy.
